He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Nelson and Anna Nelson (Hanson); his son Steven; his siblings, Arlene Peterson and Norman Nelson; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Nelson and Lou DePaolis.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Nelson (Nancy) and Brad Nelson (Dawn); his grandchildren, Erica Muse (Steve), Tyler Nelson (Talia), Kristi Fabre (Ryan), Kelli Griffin (Cody) and Kalynn Nelson; his great grandchildren, Avery, Olivia Muse, Cole, Dylan, Logan Nelson, Mia, Nolan Fabre, Vivian Lerud, Cecilia and Clay Griffin; his siblings, Alfred Nelson (Nora), Earl Jr. Nelson (Wilma), Wayne Nelson (Sylvia) and Clarice DePaolis; and his brother-in-law DeWayne Peterson.
