With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phylis Akins (Glenwood, Minnesota), born in Lyons, New York, who passed away on February 13, 2019 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmry Akins and Freida Akins (Mason); her sisters, Carolyn and Elaine; and her grandson Jeremy Barker.
She is survived by: her children, Freida Montgomery (Ray) of Glenwood, Lisa Barker (Pete) of Carlos, Shannon Barker (John) of Villard and Thomas Garrad (Melissa); her grandchildren, Freida Lynn, Phillip Jr, Felicia, Brenda, Victoria, Jaden, Thomas, Joshua, Brittany, Kaycee, Kelly, Greg, James, Cody, William, Briana, Allison and Tyler; and her siblings, Lynda Blake, Gary Aikins, George Akins and Thomas Akins. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews.
