He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Kennedy and Minnie Kennedy (Krei); his former wife Byrdella Banister; his son William "Bill"; and his siblings, Bonnie Mae Helberg and Darold Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Kennedy (Jackson) of Glenwood; his children, Bob Kennedy (Val) of Bremerton, WA and Jane Kennedy of Portland, OR; his stepchildren, Brad Braaten (LeeAnn) of DeGraff, Byron Braaten (Joanne) of Starbuck, Barry Braaten (Jodie) of Glenwood and Brenda Steen (Darrel) of Brooten; his daughter-in-law Marlene Kennedy of Starbuck; and his sister-in-law Karen Kennedy of Henderson Nevada. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
