He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shea and Gwendolyn Shea; his brother David; and his brother-in-law John Serres. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Schaub; his son David (Alona); his granddaughter Patricia; his uncle Pete; his daughter Patricia "Tricia" Kobernusz; his granddaughter Rylie Kobernusz; and his siblings, Barbara Serres, Michael (Peggy) and Stephen (Patty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that people make contributions to their favorite charity or Glacial Ridge Hospice.
