He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Hill and Maud Hill (Kaufman); his grandson Ryan Hill; his sister Jeannine Nelson; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Bisek, Wally Steinke and David V. Bisek; and his nephews, Warren Nelson and Thomas Bisek.

He is survived by: his wife Muriel Marie "Murmie" Bisek; his sons, Mark "Bunker" (Pam) of Melrose, Steve (Dawn) of Becker, Ted (Koni) of Glenwood and Chris (Tricia) of Glenwood; his grandchildren, Brianna Olson, Brandon Hill, Taylor Hill (Sonja), Tyson Hill, Justine Hill, Ian Hill, Rachel Hill, Austin Hill, Jordan Hill and Tony Hill; his great grandchildren, Theo and Gunnar Hill; his sister-in-law June Steinke; and his nieces and nephews, Nancy Lindemann (Randy), Sherri Swartz (Garry), Wade Nelson (Rita), Jeffrey Nelson, Gary Steinke (Carolyn), David Steinke (Rose), Greg Steinke (Judy), Tim Steinke, Michael Bisek (Diane), Daniel Bisek, Jamie Bisek and Joe Bisek (Leesha). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Pope County Food Shelf or to Alzheimer's research.
