He is survived by: his wife Linda Scepaniak of Glenwood; his children, Tom Schmainda (Carla), Teri Middendorf (Bruce) of Centerville and Bryan Schmainda of Glenwood; his grandchildren, Miranda Middendorf, Bailey Middendorf, Dakohta Schmainda, KayLynn Ruch (Josiah), Alexandria Schmainda and Sarah Schmainda; his great grandchild Milo Ruch; his brother James "Jim" Schmainda; his sister-in-law Rosie Schmainda (Richard); and his brother Richard Schmainda.
