It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Derrick J. Johnson of Glenwood, Minnesota, born in Alexandria, Minnesota, who passed away on September 7, 2022, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Chester, Alice Johnson and Harvey Gunderson; and his aunt Ellen Youngberg. He is survived by: his parents, Gary Johnson and Dianne Johnson (Gunderson) of Hoffman; his wife Kim Dawn Suckstorff of Glenwood; his siblings, Chris Johnson (Kelly Kraemer) of Starbuck, Jeremy Johnson (Leah Gustafson) of Mounds View and Heather Johnson of Elbow Lake; his grandmother Donna Gunderson of Alexandria; and also, Jim, Mavis Suckstorff of Glenwood and Paul Suckstorff (Ashley) of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Derrick's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an account for Derrick's children, Addisen and Jaxon at Glenwood State Bank.
