He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Oakland and Igean Oakland (Trytten); his wife Darlene Oakland (Brevig); and his sister LaVonne "Bonnie" (Curtis "Corky" Anderson). He is survived by: his children, Lori Tuttle and Jason Oakland (Dessari); his grandchildren, Trevor, Kailee, Ellery (Sean), Grayson and Paisley; his great grandchildren, Georgia, Garrett and Gavin; and his friends, Walter and Becky Johnson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bonnerup Funeral Service - Albert Lea (2210 E Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at the Greenwood Cemetery.
