He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Olson and Heaney; his siblings, Elizabeth Olson, Gloria Mueller (LaVerne), Curtis Olson, Orren Olson (Alice), Gaylord Olson, Robert Olson (Dorothy) and Ronald Olson; and his son-in-law Mike Kalvig.
He is survived by: his wife Florence "Flo" (Willaby); his children, Tarryl Olson (Heide), Steve Olson (Nicole), Tammy Kalvig and Shellby Olson (Darin Finley); his grandchildren, Samantha Kloos (Ben), Lillian, Katherine, Tarryl Olson, Olivia (Dalex Hurley), Lucas, Ella Olson, Cody (Rochelle), Tanner (McKenzie Besco), Marissa Kalvig, Mason and Ethan Choronzy (Kelsey); his great grandchildren, Jonah, Logan Kloos, Alexis, Brantley, Everly Kalvig, Chloey, Kaleb Kalvig, Grace Besco and Makayla Pobanz; his siblings, LeAnn Iseminger (Jim) and Truman Olson (May Lou); and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Olson and Mary Olson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As a blood donor for the American Red Cross, Elard had donated 138 units of blood throughout his life.
