Dorenne Hansen Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorenne Hansen of Glenville, Minnesota, born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Bruce Mittag. She is survived by: her mother Donna Mittag; her husband Mike Hansen; her children, Heidi Gaston (Sean), Alex Hansen (Jenikah) and Logan Hansen (Mallory); her grandchildren, Jackson, Isabelle, Charlotte Gaston, Madelin, Liam Hansen and Miles Hansen; and her siblings, Bonnie Anding, David Mittag and Brenda Wehking. She is also survived by brother- and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

Dorenne won many battles with her disease over the last sixteen years, including an initial diagnosis with only a 14% survival rate, the re-emergence of metastasized bone cancer and its accompanying terminal diagnosis, multiple strokes, heart issues, and a COVID-19 infection.

She asked that donations be made to American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital to support continued cancer research and treatment options and those children fighting this terrible disease.
