She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Grenke and Emma Grenke (Haerdt); her husband John Schmidt of Glencoe; her children, Paulette Nitz and Bradley Schmidt; her grandson Jason Nitz; and her siblings, Elda, Herbert, Elvira, Raymond, Lorna, Evelyn and Marlys.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Lynn Schmidt; her grandchildren, Gretchen Haukos (Jan), Regan Dose (Brad), Timothy Schmidt (Michelle), Matthew Schmidt and David Schmidt (Shawna); and her great grandchildren, Timothy Schmidt Jr., Emily Dose, Andrew Dose, Sophie Schmidt and Sloane Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Ladies Guild.
