He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Kruschke and Alma Kruschke (Marks); his wife Edna Litzau; his sister Verona Dietzel (Reuben); and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Litzau (Adeline), Gene Litzau (Helaine), Lenora Swanson (Al), Mabel Raether (Herbert), Marion Eggersgluess (Lyle) and Anita Thiesfeld (Melvin).
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Welch (Boyd) of Hutchinson, Leann Fenske of Silver Lake and Mary Schnaser (Don) of Lester Prairie; his grandchildren, Jen Quast, Lisa Morin (Jerry), Kristen Lange (Danny), Michael Schnaser (Hannah) and Emily Schnaser; his great grandchildren, Nora Nemec, Liz Bebeau (Jake) and Zach Fenske (Abby); and his great great grandchild Sophia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
