We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Bernadine Mae Pettis of Glencoe, Minnesota, born in Morton, Minnesota. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonse Ruhland and Emily Ruhland (Svoboda); and her husband Russel Pettis. She is survived by: her son Troy Pettis (Kelly) of Orlando, Florida; her grandchildren, Mitchell Opdahl of Orlando, Max Opdahl, Piper Pettis and Myles Pettis of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and her sister Lorraine Aufenthie (Tom) of Sherwood, Oregon. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

“Myself and my family knew Bernie camping at Sibley going back to when husband Russ was still alive❤️🏕 They welcomed us with open arms and a warm smile! After Russ unfortunately passed Bernie frequently stopped at our campsite over the years several times daily to chat with me and my sisters Susan Backes and Jacqueline Filter. We became very good camping friends ❤️🌺 We are stunned at her passing as we just saw her 2 weeks ago at Sibley and I had given her a big hug and told her “ I love you””
