It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephanie Jakel (Gilbert, Minnesota), who passed away on February 21, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine Kochar and Margaret Kochar (Jerse); her husband Ludwig Jakel; and her sisters, Margaret Kotnik and Mildred Palumbo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanne of Blaine, MN, Linda Niemi (Don Ehler) of Chanhassen, MN and Connie Groe (Paul) of Eden Prairie, MN; her grandchildren, Amber Niemi (Dan Schoon), Kenton Niemi (Lisa), Jared Niemi and Austin Groe; her great grandchildren, Kayla Niemi and Isaiah Niemi; and her sister Rose Tolonen (Ronald) of Chisholm, MN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
