He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin J. Peterson and Alice M. Peterson; and his brother Wendell Peterson (Shirley). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Preston; his children, David Peterson (Martha) of Champlin, Susan Kruse (Terry) of Eveleth and Theresa Fleming of Lakeville; and his grandchildren, Michael Peterson (Jill), John Peterson, Lisa Kruse (Jamie), Jake Fleming (Matt), Laura Predmore (Jared), Emily Unhjem (Chuck), Hanna Murphy (Shane) and Ellen Fleming. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
