He was predeceased by: his grandson Barrett Ugland; his siblings, Vernita Kelley and Gerald Forst; and his parents, Herbert Forst and Agnes Forst (Beranek).
He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Millie" Forst of Gibbon; his children, Jean Zinda (Bernard) of Holloway, Renee Forst of Plymouth, Amy Gieseke (Peter) of St. James, Kara Landgraf (Patrick) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Jon Forst (Carol) of Gibbon, Dale Forst (Janet) of Gibbon and Lyle Forst (Rose) of Gibbon; his siblings, Aurelia Kral (Richard) of New Ulm and Robert Forst (Alice) of New Ulm; and his former wife Mildred Portner. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
