With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ted DeRoode of Ghent, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ted left this world on April 4, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Bagley (Larson); and his siblings, Robert DeRoode, John DeRoode, Marion Wignes and Nellie Byrne.
He is survived by: his children, Karen DeRoode (John) of Ghent, Lisa Tykwinski (Steve) of Ghent, David DeRoode (Wendy Knutson) of Crystal, Rachel Bagley of Ghent and Chad Bagley (Sue) of Minneota; his grandchildren, Daniel Marron, Neal Tykwinski Sean Marron (Jordan Fowlkes), Bridget Lein (Travis), Drew Tykwinski (Courtney), Emma DeRoode-George (Brytton) and Theo DeRoode (Jorey Cruikshank); and his great grandchildren, Rhett Wimmer of Fargo, ND and Lily Tykwinski of Fredericksburg, VA..
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Living Word Lutheran Church (800 E Southview Ct, Marshall, MN 56258). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery (Co Rd 8, Ghent, MN 56239).
