With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Stassen of Ghent, Minnesota, who passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stassen and Mary Stassen (Boerboom); his siblings, Clarence, Eugene Stassen (Margaret), Theresa Kerkvliet (Nick) and Helen Clark (Jim); his brother-in-law Ed Van Dorpe; and his nieces, Colleen Lindstrom and Barb Verthein.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Sommerfield of Marshall; his children, Karen Lanoue (Greg) of Tracy, Steven Stassen (Jane) of Kerkhoven, Eileen Noram (Ron) of Garvin and Ellen Stassen Monshaugen (Alan Monshaugen) of Walnut Grove; his grandchildren, John Lanoue (Katie), Katie Siemonsma (Brian), Laura Sonne (Scott), Michele Wagner (Scott), Scott Lanoue, Amber Stassen, Kimberly Neumann (Brad), Steph Stassen and Matthew Stassen; his sister Rita Van Dorpe of Minneota; and his sister-in-law Louise Stassen of Marshall. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
