It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy A. Slater of Gaylord, Minnesota, who passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smith and Arlene Smith; her great grandchild Briar Guggisberg; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Siverhus, Susan Smith and James Slater.
She is survived by: her husband Duane; her children, Jeffrey Slater and Darci Atkinson (Dan); her granddaughters, Caitlin Guggisberg (Brooks) and Samantha Malone (Cody); her great grandchild Braxton Guggisberg; and her siblings, Eugene Smith, Kay Christenson (Dennis) and Roy Smith (Jackie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
