He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Wendlandt and Ella Wendlandt (Grewe); his wife Ruth Ann Wendlandt; his daughter-in-law Tasha Wendlandt; his parents-in-law, Alfred and Elsie Meyer; and his brother-in-law Lester Mielke.
He is survived by : his children, Timothy Wendlandt (Marla) of Hutchinson, MN, Vicki Frauendienst (Randy) of Nicollet, MN, Wendy Wessel (Bill) of Sauk Centre, MN and Brent Wendlandt of Brownton, MN; his grandchildren, Jason Wendlandt (Abbey Leach) of Belle Plaine, MN, Chelsea Bertram (Shawn) of Sauk Centre, MN, Tressa Clarke (Matthew) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jack Peterson (Mariah Logan) of Sioux Falls, SD, Mitchel Frauendienst (Trista), Nicole Carlson (Josh), Jamie Beaudry, Sara Giefer (Brandon), Christopher Wendlandt, Sapphire Wendlandt, Tyler Tidwell (Brittany), Stephanie Wessel of St. Augusta, MN, Ryan Wessel (Megen Tangen) of Starbuck, MN, Britney Schlopkol (Dan) of Donnelly, MN, Samantha Wessel (Jon Gruber) of Sauk Centre, MN and Derick Wessel (Gretta Popp) of Sauk Centre, MN; his great grandchildren, Eli Bertram, Eddie Bertram, Emmet Bertram, Ellis Clarke, Stellan Clarke, Mya Frauendienst, Wyatt Frauendienst, Mason Frauendienst, Charlie Frauendienst, Sadie Beyer, Myles Roethler, Malachi Roethler, Maverik Frauendienst, Noah Beaudry, Isaac Beaudry, Zada Beaudry, Hunter Giefer, Beau Giefer, Josiah Tidwell, Neveah Tidwell, Jocelyn Wessel, Ryker Wessel, Winston Wessel, Philip Schlopkol, Henry Schlopkol, Charlie Schlopkol, Lilah Schlopkol and Baby Schlopkol; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Mielke and Paul (Diana Meyer). He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Visitation/Gathering Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (608 Highland Dr W, Winthrop, MN 55396). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (608 Highland Dr W, Winthrop, MN 55396).
