It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sanford Moen of Gary, Minnesota, who passed away on May 31, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar and Sophia Moen (Sanden); his wife Dorothy Moen (Monson); his stepmother Edna Moen; and his siblings, Maxine Wamback, Gloria Altringer, Duane Moen, Norman Moen, Ruth Lee, Yvonne Fischer, Lovilla DeCicco, Beverly Johnson and Elwood Narum.
He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Monson; his children, Peter Moen of Gary and Pati Crowley (Bill) of Columbus, OH; his stepsister Vangie Hillstad; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Griffin, Makensie and Jordyn; and his great grandchildren, Gavin and Phoebe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
