He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kurpius and Genevieve Kurpius (Brennan); and his brother Jerry. He is survived by: his wife Karen Kappes; his children, Mike Kurpius (Leslie) of Wahpeton, ND, Jana Hensrud (Lee) of Grand Forks, ND, Kristyn Ulve (Ryan) of Albert Lea, MN and Bob Kurpius (Katie) of Moorhead, MN.; and his sisters, Patty Habeck (Vernon) of Ada, MN, Judith Lundberg (Raymond) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Karen Kirkeby (David) and Thief.
