He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Thompson and Evalena Thompson (McCollum); his wife Marjorie Thompson (Margie); his siblings, Evelyn Mickelson (Evie), Bennielee Thompson (Sonny), Gerald Thompson and Melvin Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Mickelson, Theresa Thompson and Joyce Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Thompson (Jill) of Menahga, MN, Deanne Warner (Todd) of West Fargo, ND, Darren Thompson (Rosy) of Bozeman, MT and Kent Thompson (Ronda) of Ada, MN; his grandchildren, Ashley Braeger (Trevor), Karley Warner (Isaac Habedank), Adam Thompson (Abby Steffan), Zackary Rkyman, Marissa, Abby Thompson and Teegan Haugo; his siblings, Sharon Johnson (Tom), Caren Mikesh and Bonnie Gay Thompson; and his sister-in-law Gloria Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
