He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Moe and Louise Moe (Hall); his grandfather Hall; his wife Shirley; his children, Terri Sirjord of Gary, Tamara Ramstorf (Ben) of Gary and Johnny Moe, Jr. of Twin Valley, MN; his grandchildren, Natalie Smith (Cedric), Kennedy Ramstorf, Riley Ramstorf and Gabby Moe; his great grandchildren, Mya, Rhianna, Drake Smith and Hayden Olson; his siblings, Sharon Chirstensen (Ron), Melvina Olson (Gordy), Leonard Moe (Radona Malin) and Bruce Moe (Cindy); his aunt Evelyn Knutson; his son-in-law Dale Sirjord; his grandson Josh Sirjord; his sister Loma Ford; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Ford and Bev Moe. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
