He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Gunnufson and Palma Gunnufson (Thronson); and his brother Arnie. He is survived by: his wife Lenore of Gary; his children, Dawn Mogck (Darin) of Fargo, ND and Dan (Valerie) of Cloquet, MN; his grandchildren, Lucas Gunnufson (Serina), Jacob Mogck and Madison Gunnufson; and his siblings, Roger (Janice) of Morris, MN and Gayle Sundet (Rodney) of Bedford, MA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in his honor to the Gary American Legion or the Moorhead American Legion Restoration Fund.
