It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Konkol of Fulda, Minnesota, born in Onamia, Minnesota, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Heyden and Katherine Vander Heyden (Kertzman); her son Russell; her daughter-in-law Erin; her siblings, Alfred Vander Heyden, Anna Simon (Tootie), Frances Mahal, Irene Jacobson and John Vander Heyden; and her siblings-in-law, Daisy, Karen, Jeanne Vander Heyden, Frank Simon, George Mahal, Earl Jacobson, Clarence Czech, David Pick and Celestine Mischke.
She is survived by: her husband Howard "Jake" Konkol; her children, Deanna, Howie (Kim), Tom (Jackie), Mary Olson (Wane), Joe and Rick (Kate); her siblings, Genevieve Czech, Delores Pick, Louise Billmeyer (Ervin), Lorraine Mischke, Clarice Marshik (Ervin) and Jim Vander Heyden; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Anderson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be directed to St. Ann's Cemetery Association or the MCC foundation.
