It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Stewart of Fulda, Minnesota, born in Galva, Iowa, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Genevieve is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Genevieve's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gries and Mildred Gries (Johnson); and her husband Donald Stewart. She is survived by: her children, Michael Stewart (Vicki) of Park Rapids, MN, Diann Paplow of Fulda, MN, Douglas Stewart (Cathy) of Fulda, MN and Kristi Holinka (Timothy) of Fraser, CO. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (401 N Lafayette Ave, Fulda, MN 56131). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
