It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger LaVerne Carlson of Fridley, Minnesota, who passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Roger LaVerne leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his son Gary Carlson; his parents, Edwin Carlson and Agnes Carlson; and his brother Dale Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Lavona; his children, Lynelle Closson (Terry), Darryl Carlson (Lorie), Bryce Carlson (Pam) and Melody McConkey (Tracy); and his daughter-in-law Lonnie Carlson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; many relatives and good friends.
