He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Phillips and Audrey Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Phillips (Sarah), Shanon Hasselfeldt (Kip) and Michael Phillips (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathan, Ellie, Emily, Everly, Lucas and Lincoln; his stepdaughter Sheron Peterson (Russ); his siblings, Katherine Rodriguez (Sam), Patricia A. Phillips, Jon Phillips (Diane), James Phillips (Julie) and Steven Phillips (Anna); his uncle Larry; his aunt Carol Oakes; and his friend Rose Tiessen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other relatives.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
