She was predeceased by: her husband Maurus Blommel; her grandson Darin Blommel; and her siblings, Julius, Ben Rueter and Juliana Hollermann.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Blommel (Marj) of Eagle Lake, Tom Blommel (Mary Kay) of Freeport, Gene Blommel (Marlene) of Freeport, Carol Funk (Ron) of Sauk Centre and Brenda Gruber (Reinie) of Clear Lake; and her siblings, Clarence, Joe Rueter, Bernadette Ritter and Rosemary Ardoin. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart School.
