He is survived by: his siblings, Irene "Reno" Schmitz of Freeport and Isidore Schmitz (Beverly) of Freeport; his nieces and nephews, Robin Schmitz (Carrie) of Freeport, Andrew Schmitz (Tanya) of Clear Lake and Kelly Wiechman (Jeron) of Freeport; his great-nieces, Alice and Cate Schmitz; and his great-nephew Everett Wiechman.
