He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Tony Janke; his siblings, Francis Bock (Earl), Lawrence Ostendorf (Jeanette), Dorothy Walz (Gene), Beatrice Pfau, Boniface Ostendorf and Arnold Ostendorf; his brother-in-law Richard May; and his niece Glenda Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ostendorf of Freeport; his children, Richard Ostendorf (Laura) of Avon, Susan Heying (Joe) of Sartell, Sandra Janke of Parishville, NY and Jerrold Ostendorf of West Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Alissa, Lyndsey, Rebecca, Amanda, Kyle, Chase and Emily; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ella and Delilah; his sister Mary Ann Kalla (Jerry) of St. Cloud; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Pfau, Hilda Ostendorf and Donna May. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome Foundation or CentraCare Hospice.
