He was predeceased by: his son Ross Aaron Gronau; his granddaughter Rachel; his brother Richard Gronau; and his parents, Alfred Gronau and Eleanora Gronau (Tastel).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Black; his sons, Clint Gronau of Franklin, Wade Gronau (Cindi) of Redwood Falls and Neil Gronau (Michelle) of Eagan; his grandchildren, Aaron Gronau (Kortney), Taylor Gronau (Amanda), Kaylee Bruner (Ben), Catarina Lang (Tyler), Grant Gronau, Garrett Gronau, Gabe Gronau, Greg Gronau and George Gronau; and his great grandchildren, Reid Lang and Nolan Gronau.
