He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edwin P. Walker and Rubel Walker (Kjoberg); and his sister Beverly Jacobchick (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Thelma Herrman; his children, Heather Willmott (Chris), Kelly Walker, McKenzie Conzemius (Mitch) and Karensa Tischer (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Brittany Summerville (Nathan, family: Colt Budke, Carter, Chloe Conzemius) and Sydney Tischer; his siblings, Paul "Buck" Walker (Ginny) and Audrey Pinkney (Gene); and his stepchildren, Randy Herrman (Kathy), Greg Herrman (Dorothy), Brian Herrman (Deb) and Lisa Hought (Tony). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home (303 5th St N, Breckenridge, MN 56520). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (420 3rd Ave N, Wahpeton, ND 58075).
