She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Sophia, Ralph Anderson, Edith Sherer and Lorentz Aspen; her great-uncle Hubert Anderson; her niece Heather Sorenson; and her nephew Joshua Lafontaine.
She is survived by: her husband Ricky Kappedal of Fosston; her mothers, Ellen Anderson of Shevlin, MN and Carol Melbo of Fosston; her children, Jason Beckstrand of Moose Lake, MN, Amber Beckstrand (Derrick) of Clearbrook, MN, Jenna Beckstrand (Nolan) of Gully, MN and Andrew Beckstrand (Brittany) of Clearbrook, MN; her grandchildren, Krystle Munter (Paul) of Fosston, Morgan, Tristan, Khaleesie, Kendra, Kaitlynn, Hunter and Cooper; and her siblings, Sheila Wilson (Jon) of Trail, MN, Pamela Jackson (Tom) of Farmington, MN, Christine Lafontaine (William) of Shevlin, MN, Rene Madsen of Bemidji, MN, Ardelle Gustafson (Scott) of Bemidji, MN, Claire Strong of Tempe, AZ, Michael Anderson of Fargo, ND and Adam Bingham of Fosston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lengby Baptist Church (204 2nd St S, Lengby, MN 56651). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
