He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gurneau and Anna Gurneau (Weise); and his siblings, Margaret Senogles (Don), Mami Morrison (Chester), Genevieve Tverstol (Wallace), Theodore Gurneau (Mami) and Wilford Gurneau (Evelyn).

He is survived by: his sister Anna Mischke of Moorhead. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
