He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Olson (Haugen) and Anton Olson; his former wife Phyllis Olson (Marquardt); his brother Arlen Olson; his parents-in-law, Herold, Esther Marquardt and Lillian Bleyhl; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Marquardt, Judy Olson (Duane), Duane Dietrich (Clarice) and Earl Young (MaryAnn).
He is survived by: his former wife Phyllis Marquardt; his wife Julie Bleyhl; his father-in-law Emerson Bleyhl of Madison; his children, Kristine Olson-Chapman (Bryan Chapman) of London, England and Jon Olson (Dee); his grandchildren, Marie, Kate, Sophie and Jake; his siblings, Clarice Dietrich, Marion Grondahl (Andy) of Fosston and Duane Olson of Fosston; his sister-in-law MaryAnn Young of Faribault; and also, Lillian and Emerson.
The family will have a private burial and will arrange a Celebration of Life once COVID restrictions are lifted.
