With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Sandberg in Fort Snelling, Minnesota, who passed away on February 3, 2021 at the age of 100. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Sandberg to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Joyce; her husband Willard; her daughters, Patricia and Marilyn; her granddaughters, Sue Lavenz and Kristi Garner; her siblings, Jerome Jurgenson and Muriel Turpin; and her nephew Jim Jurgenson.
She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Ed Browne and Bob Garner; and her grandchildren, Teresa Franklin, David Browne, Mark Browne (Deb), Cathy Mertz, Matt Garner (Julie), Guy Garner, Scott Garner and Joelene Stevens. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A small funeral service (limited seating due to COVID) will be held at Elim Church 685 13th Ave NE, Minneapolis on February 18th at 10:30 am.
Memorials may be given to Children's Home Society.
