He was predeceased by: his father Howard Kiel; and his son Travis Kiel. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Kiel (DeVries); his significant other Susie Berger; his close friend Susie Berger; his children, Christine Kiel and Chad Kiel (Deena); his daughter-in-law Erin Kiel; his grandchildren, Olivia, Madilyn, Elliott, Whitney and Wyatt; his siblings, Duane, Lyle, Terry, Lois Droogsma (Dale), Margie Kral (Destry) and Bonnie Mueller (Paul); his significant other's sons, David Berger and John Berger (Meloney); his grandchildren, Christian, Matt, Christopher, Dalton, Skylar, Bryce, Emylee, Sydni, Michael, Lilli and Nikolas; and his great grandchildren, Paisley and Jack. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
