He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rev. Philip John and Emily Eckhoff; his former wife Cleo; his son Philip James Eckhoff Jr. MD; his wife Alice Eckhoff; his children, Kathleen Yeager (Tom), Patricia Biagi (Frank), W. Nile Eckhoff (Patti), Fred Eckhoff (Jennifer), Krystan Putney (Bill), Barbara Welch (Charlie), Vicki Abtin, Lisa Slawson, Mary McGlothin (Greg), John Peterson (B. J.), Tom Peterson (Ginni) and Mark Peterson (LuAnn); his daughter-in-law Renee Christensen; and his brother-in-law Kermit Ericsson MD. He was also cherished by 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 the family requests that all guests wear masks during the services at church.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to your local American Legion.
