He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob and Myrtle; his son David; and his siblings, LaVern Thomson, Iva Nelson and Russell.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his son Daniel; his grandchildren, Ross, Lexi, Austen, Abby and Noah; and his godsons, Brian, Bob Nelson and Kevin Thomson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
