He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Catherine; his wife Elizabeth "Betty"; and his sisters, Mary O'Brien and Pat Poliachik.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Kreiner (Tom), Cathy Stevenson (Jim), Tim Scanlon (Karen) and Tom Scanlon (Lori); his grandchildren, Theresa Winczewski (TJ), Kevin Kreiner (Kat), Karl Kreiner (Christine), Eric Kreiner (Becca), Joel Kreiner, Jennifer Stevenson, Matt Stevenson, Robert Scanlon (Joelle), Katie Scanlon, Elise Mergillano (Beejay), Mike Scanlon (Scanlon), Andrei Scanlon and Paul Scanlon; and his brothers, Joe Scanlon (Sandy) and Mike Scanlon (Leizl). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren (plus one on the way); 2 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Cancer Research Institute or Church of St Peter in Forest Lake.
