It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Nels Solem of Forest Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Solem and Angelica Solem (Hauble); his brother Alan Solem; and his nieces, Brenda Solem and Peggy Ann Paige.
He is survived by: his children, Nels Solem of St. Paul, MN and Nancy Ratemo of Sterling, IL; his wife Judith Solem (Warnkvist); his granddaughter Hannah Hawley (Eliyah Hawley) of Nashwauk, MN; his sisters, Joyce Guttsen and Claire Solem; his nephew Kenneth Guttsen; his nieces, Alana Solem, Kerri Rude and Krista Flynn; and his former wife Judy Warnkvist. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces.
