He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Rehbein; his parents, Marcel Sr. (Dorothy Rivard) and Dorothy; and his brothers, Bill and Tommy.

He is survived by: his wife Dayna Smith; his children, Jena Rivard, Lindsey Rivard, Nick Monaghan (Amber) and Keith Monaghan (Katie); his granddaughter Selene; his siblings, Jim (Judy), Marcel Jr. "Pie" (Linda), Dan (Debbie), Matt (Alex), Peggie Anderson (Paul), Penny Sherman (Jeff) and John (Pam); and his close friend Dan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.
