He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Smith and Rosemary Smith; his sister Carol Smith; his parents-in-law, Arnie and Waunetta Pollow; and his brother-in-law David Davenport.
He is survived by: his daughters, Missy and Shelly; his wife Shirley Smith (Pollow); his daughters, Melissa Wetterlund (Marc) and Michelle Smith; his grandchildren, Owen Wetterlund and Peyton Smith; his sisters, Diane Smith, Wanda Knipfer (Randy), Susan Pollow and Barbara Carter (John); and his nieces and nephews, Amy Knipfer-Galit, Tony Knipfer (Katie), Syreeta Davenport, Todd Carter (Jen) and Jodi (Bill).
