He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Adele; his wife Janet; and his sister Roberta Jean Orley. He is survived by: his children, Kent Swenson (Jeannine), Neil Swenson (Diana), Scott Swenson (Michelle Filkins) and Julie Geiger (Matthew); his grandchildren, Holly Nkemla Lienou (Alfred), Michael Swenson (Kierstin), Tanae Christophersen (Justin), Tal Swenson (Hailey), Cole Peterson, BaiLeigh Swenson, Hannah Swenson, Cindy Swenson, Jade Geiger (Cameron Anderson), Mya Geiger and Grant Geiger; his great grandchildren, Freya, Odin Nkemla Lienou, Elliott, Caden Swenson, Ollie Christophersen, Juno Janet Swenson, Raelyn and Kaedence Peterson; and his brother Clyde Swenson.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Elim Lutheran Church (20971 Olinda Trail N, Scandia, MN 55073).
Memorials are preferred to Elim Lutheran Church-Kitchen Fund.
