He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Heather, Dan James, Luke, Janell Helmin, Katherine and Benjamin Novak; his grandchildren, Sheena, Andrea James, Payton, Shelby Helmin and Justin Novak; and his siblings, David, James, Robert, Jeffery, Rebecca Hanson, Sally Cielinski and Nancy Helmin.
