She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Ferris and Hazel Ferris (Edens); her son Jason Carl Whalen; her brother Dennis Ferris; and her stepdaughter Samantha Lynn McDougal.
She is survived by: her husband Nic; her daughters, Crystal Markfort and Jessica Schaefer; and her stepchildren, Shawn Holmes (Melissa), Kelijo Fernholz (Curt) and Candice Holmes. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, seeds are preferred to be sent to the family so a memorial garden can be planted.
