She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Schendzielos and Agnes Schendzielos (Lewandowski); her husband Andrew G. Smelter Jr.; her daughter Nanette Smelter; her grandson Nicholas Smelter; her great grandchild Erin Marinac; and her son-in-law Orlando Norstad.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Norstad, Rich (Coleen), Sharon Mark (Gregg), Thomas (Jan), Cecilia Strait (Karl), Curt (Pat), Gregory (Susan), Maple Grove, Charles (Lisa) of San Antonio, TX and Jeanette Struffert (Steve); and her brothers, Raymond, Sylvester, Gregory, Michael, John, Martin and Francis.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. John's Area School, Quiet Oaks or the Poor Clares.
