It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Gordon Stokke of Floodwood, Minnesota, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Stokke and Gerda Stokke (Ulvild); his siblings, Julian, Kenneth (Dorothy), Clarence (Beverly), Lester, Inez Hill (Rudolph) and Darlene Mattila; his siblings-in-law, Eugene and Kay Saari; his mother-in-law Lennea Saari; his daughter Sharon Stokke; and his brother Silas.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Stokke of Cromwell; his children, Annette VanderMay (Dan) of Long Valley, SD, Diane Hakola (Rick) of Floodwood and Kevin Stokke (Billie Jo) of Floodwood; his grandchildren, Jake VanderMay (Sarah) of Long Valley, SD, Shane VanderMay (Terra) of Corsica, SD, Shannon Neuharth (Josh) of Menno, SD, Orin VanderMay (Cristina) of Wall, SD, Nicole VanderMay of Chamberlain, SD, Alexis Stokke of Floodwood, Carter Stokke of Floodwood and Kiaja Stokke of Floodwood; his great grandchildren, Gus VanderMay of Long Valley, SD, Maggie VanderMay of Long Valley, SD, Everett Pies of Corsica, SD, Adrienne Pies of Corsica, SD, Sage Neuharth of Menno, SD, Kaycee Neuharth of Menno, SD, Chauncey Neuharth of Menno, SD and Isabella VanderMay of Wall, SD; his sisters, Lorraine Guentzel of Cromwell and Mary Mart (Jim) of Hermantown; and his siblings-in-law, Sadie Stokke, Kathy Stokke, Leonard Saari and Brenda Smyth. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
